Some continuing care facilities offer indepen dent retirement options for individuals who choose not to pay entrance or endowment fees (monthly rental option). I ndependent retirement Communities: Independent retirement communities are apart ment like settings which offer numerous amenities to residents. Individuals must be able to care for themselves in this setting.
