Jacki Markwood Jacki was raised in Swanton, Maryland on a cow-calf opera- tion. She participated in 4-H, showing livestock for seven years. Now a junior at CSU, she is studying animal science and plans to graduate in May of 2018. After graduating, she hopes to raise show calves like her family does. As co-chair for

the 2016-2017 Seedstock Merchandising Team’s Written committee, she hopes to learn more about advertising and marketing. She is excited to gain experience, learn about the seedstock industry, meet individuals within the industry and work with her teammates.

Jordan Nelson Jordan Nelson is a sophomore from Silverthorne, Colo. and is majoring in animal science and agriculture business. He is a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity and the CSU Farm Bureau. Jordan looks forward to a future in the beef industry and is particularly interested in the seedstock industry. As a member

Katie Stephens Katie is a senior majoring in animal science, with a minor in ag. resource economics. Katie is from Sweetwater, Colo., where she participated in 4-H for ten years, showing livestock. She plans to pursue a career as a 4-H Extension agent after gradu- ating in May 2017. By being an Extension agent, she hopes to

Cassie Spear Cassie is a senior majoring in animal science and ag business, expecting to graduate in the fall of 2017. She was raised on her family’s commercial cow-calf operation in Loomis, Wash., running Angus and Hereford cattle. She hopes to return to the family business in the future, while also pursuing a career in

Joanna Swenson Joanna is a senior animal science and ag business major at Colo- rado State University, who'll be graduating in May 2017. She is from Arvada, Colo., where she grew up raising Red Angus cattle, and showing livestock in 4-H. Through 4-H, she found her passion for agriculture. Joanna was on the 2016 meats

She is excited to attend the NCBA Convention, build relationships with the team and network with industry professionals. "Expecting the best out of more than just our students!"
