Flight Delays in New York

Meteorologists have been talking about bad weather back east! New York was one of the states that had bad weather.

2 There were blizzards and blowing snow for days. The roads were icy.

The JFK Airport in New York had problems because of the weather. It was not safe to fly.

Mark Kirby is from London, England. On January 6 th , he was on his way to the Bahamas. His first flight landed at JFK Airport.

But, there was a problem. The weather was too bad for his flight to leave New York.

Mark’s flight to the Bahamas was delayed. He was stuck at JFK Airport.

The Islands of the Bahamas are in the Atlantic Ocean. The weather is beautiful in the Bahamas.

8 Mark had to wait for the weather to get better in New York. Then his flight could leave for the Bahamas.

Finally, the weather got better in New York. Mark’s flight was able to leave JFK Airport. Mark was excited to arrive in the Bahamas!
