Another tree column - and finally THE SNUFF-BOX TREE
Eugene Moll Every now and then I get a gentle nudge from John Wesson reminding me that my next tree article is required for the upcoming edition of the magazine! When I receive his email there is always an ‘Oh dear!’ reaction. This is because revolving in the back of my mind, since the last piece I wrote, has been a muddle of ideas of what to write next time, that is different and possibly of added interest to readers?
I t is easy for me to write a short description of another tree species , garnished with some interesting anecdotes and emphasising some diagnostic features that possibly many do not yet know about. BUT somehow that is not entirely
satisfying! I would MUCH rather my contribution was of greater general interest and top prize is if I can write something provocative (in both a challenging and possibly even confrontational way - just to make you, the reader, sit up and take notice). After all, in
