Week 1 Digital PBIS

Weeks 2-6 Keyboarding Instruction and Practice

● Students engage in Typing Club lessons

● Teach classroom

rules/procedures/expectati ons related to technology and using devices (use in conjunction with 16 day SBI routine, see this link to the Small Group Manual pages 14-19 for more information) ● Distribute passwords and practice logging into Chromebooks and CSD Docs ● Practice logging into Typing Club with your students

● Students should be enrolled in the following classes: ○ Core: Jungle Junior

● Teachers should be monitoring student for proper technique, such as: ○ sit up straight ○ feet fat on the foor

○ body centered with the “G” and “H” keys ○ fngers curved and oriented to home row

● Extension lessons for students who have mastered or excelled in Typing Club lessons are found in the Google CS First curriculum, which include lesson plans and interactive materials: ○ Introductory: Characterization, Interactive Presentation, Dialogue ○ Intermediate: Narration, Figurative Language
