Flight of fancy

Anyone who has ever tried to navigate the throng on Florence’s Ponte Vecchio will surely agree that the historic bridge over the Arno is one of the Renaissance city’s most visited sites. So seeing it without the hordes may seem like a flight of fancy, until you learn about Four Seasons’ Golden Dinner, part of the brand’s Extraordinary Experiences portfolio. Thanks to a collaboration between the Four Seasons Firenze and Dante Cardini, it is possible to dine on the bridge for the first time, on a private terrace above the Cardini family’s jewelery shop. The gold-themed dinner created by Vito Mollica (from the hotel’s Michelin- starred restaurant, Il Palagio) includes saffron risotto with caviar and golden leaves plus scallop carpaccio with golden citrus dressing, but can be tailored to individual whim, perhaps with the added services of musicians or including a limited-edition Four Seasons ring, crafted by Dante Cardini from white gold, diamonds and a rose sapphire.
