Office Hours — We are open Monday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As always, if you need assistance at other times, please don’t hesitate to call (846-3148) and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. We will be closed Monday December 26 in observance of Christmas and Monday January 2 in observance of New Year’s. Fire Permits — Burn permits are available at the Town Office when Gloria Brown is working. You may also get a fire permit online at www. maineburnpermit.com . Transfer Station Hours— Please remem- ber that the Transfer Station hours changed on November 6, 2016, when daylight sav- ing time ended. We are no longer open Mon- day and Thursday morning, and we now close at 4:00 p.m. on the days when the Transfer Station is open. Budget Information — Yes, we are starting another budget cycle! At the beginning of December, we will be requesting budget worksheets from all departments, committees, and organizations. Please keep in mind that if there is something you want added to the municipal budget and ultimately entered on the Annual Town Meeting Warrant, Dog Licenses —Dog tags are now avail- able. Failure to license your dog before January 31, 2017, will result in an addi- tional $25 late fee.

you must submit a request to me in a timely manner. The first draft of the budget will be presented to the Board of Selectmen on January 11, 2017. Employment Opportunity —We are still looking for an Animal Control Officer . This does require certification within six months of appointment and the pay is currently an annual stipend of $2,000. Volunteer Opportunities —There are many new volunteer committee appointments open. We still need three people for the Health Care

Advisory Ad-Hoc Committee , up to seven people for the Curit Property Research Ad-Hoc Committee , and five people for the Ad-Hoc Broadband Working Group . Please stop by the Town Office for an application and a description of the committee tasks. We also need one more person for the Board of Adjustments and Appeals. Planning Board — The Planning Board is

currently working on amendments to the Land Use Ordinance. Planning Board agendas are posted on our website. And for Ruthie, it’s the westerly side. My mistake. Thank you for your support, and remember to be kind to one another,
