? DID YOU KNOW ? Why you should not play on wet tennis courts? Beware of spring showers. A clay court is safe after 15 minutes of a light drizzle except for its lines which can get quite slick. Experienced players even have a tough time trying not to slip while crossing over them while at play. If a group decides to play on a court prematurely to it being completely dry, the players can in return ruin the court by digging up the surface with their shoes and this will leave grooves and “pockets” on the court. For your overall safety during these spring shower months, please be aware and listen to the tennis staff as to when the courts will be available for you and your partners to play on.
