Tuesday, August 14, 2–3pm @ the library 4255 Government St. next to the Riverboat in Old Hazelton. Everyone is welcome. Bring the family to meet Krystal Hoekstra from Lakes District Animal Friendship Society. This family event will feature sto- ries, songs & activities for kids & parents. Win a dog- house door prize, or a flat-pack “Hofer House” kit & assemble your own easily. Assemble & decorate a doghouse or take away the plans to build one of your own from a single sheet of plywood & an 8-foot 2x4. Steve’s Mechanical of South Hazelton has donated 2 kits to be given away to event participants & challeng- es all other Hazelton area businesses to do the same or better. Let’s get our best friends in from the cold! The WMHA Thrift Shop is closed until noon Aug 14. Please do not bring items for the drop box until then Hazelton Hootenanny Aug. 17-19. Put more fun into your summer & celebrate agriculture, live music, & community. Taking place on a local solar powered farm, Bulkley Canyon Ranch, fun for the whole family.
