The days when Silicon Valley and the tech industry had the ability to leave its audience awestruck are wearing thin. Fake news, threats to elections and public health, data breaches and more are driving the public's growing skepticism of tech companies and their wide reach. 2018 proved this to be true especially with FAANG (Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Google).
