Warriner Center of Excellence Awards for excellence in key performance indicators. • The Bariatric program continues to maintain the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP), a joint program of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). • ARMC developed an anticoagulation protocol to safely hold, bridge, and re-start anticoagulation for patients needing interventional radiology (IR) procedures. • ARMC Mainland relocated its transesophagael echocardiograph (TEE) into the cardiac unit for better patient outcomes and more reliable communication. • The Pharmacy department created and operationalized a Pharmacy Drug Shortage Team, a drug shortage policy, held drug shortage biweekly huddles, and distributed medication alert website notices, resulting in successfully maintaining primary or alternative medication options during many challenging national shortages. • ARMC achieved the Leapfrog benchmark target of 95 percent for bar coded medication administration (BMCA). • The Pharmacy department led the organization’s 2017 Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) focused on opioid and CDS medications risk points. • City Campus Critical Care collaborated with Gift of Life for 19 organ and 17 tissue donors.
