Uhing has extended its range of economically priced rolling ring drives with plastic housing by introducing the RGK3-15 model, suitable for 15mm shafts. While featuring an exterior design similar to that of the larger RGK 20, major innovation has taken place inside: by modifying the flow of forces into the housing, the thrust (90N) could be raised to almost that of the metallic complement RG3-15-2 (110N). Uhing reports that the RGK15 passed all endurance tests with flying colours and confirmed the quality of the high-tech plastic with 60% glass fraction.
