Boulogne Trip

The dome area is created entirely out of glass which was filled with lots of different creatures, very interesting indeed. Looking at the sharks was mediocre for me, as I’ve already seen some in the past but it still contributed to a great trip. After all the exploring we went back to the lobby and moved to our next destination which was the shopping centre. We entered the shopping centre to a warm welcome and were informed that we could buy anything we wanted within reason, so I spent a total of 21 euros 50 cents which is roughly 4 fifths of my budget of 25 euros.

The ride home was similar to that on the way there just with everyone having less energy from walking. The coach ride was rather entertaining which was pretty fun to watch. We finally arrived back to Southampton and made our way back to our houses.

Items I took on the trip with me: • 25 euros • My bag • Phone with headphones • Lunch • Knowledge of speaking French When we got to the aquarium we were split into groups of 3 or more and we explored the aquarium together. Some of the memorable moments included: Despite the fact that the penguin enclosure didn’t smell very nice, we had fun seeing the penguins swim.

Bin Bag Trashion Show Year 8 Spanish students have been learning about describing clothes earlier this half term. At the end of the unit, they were given a lesson to design and prepare an outfit out of a bin bag using sellotape and scissors. They were allowed to bring in other items from home to embellish the outfits. Students also had to select a catwalk song for their model to show of their outfit too and explain their song choice in Spanish, as well as describe the outfit in Spanish. Teacher judges from other departments were invited in to judge the team effort. Some of the outfits included bin bag crop-top and skirt sets, headbands, dresses and t-shirts. Well done to the Year 8 students involved and thank you to the judges who gave up a lesson to help.
