TheKolnCarnival is a carnival that takes placeevery year inKoln, Germany. Traditionally the carnival isdeclaredopenat 11minutes past 11on the11February. TheStreet carnival, also called ‘the crazy days’, takes placebetween theFat Thursday (Weiberfastnacht) andends onAshWednesday (Aschermittwoch). Thehighlight of the carnival isRoseMonday (Rosenmontag), twodaysbeforeAshWednesday. All through these days, the localsmasquerade. Whilst touringEuropewithhis son, Toru took theopportunity to visit the IPA’s AdminCentrebased in West Bridgford, Nottingham. Hewas greetedby LesleyHughes, Office Administrator, whohadpreviouslymet Toruat internationalmeetings.
