Zack stared at him. What kind of a weird question was that?
“You’ll find out what it’s like to die in Cronos – everyone does at some point.”
“What do you mean?”
Octavian sighed. “So you’re here for the first time, which is plain obvious. Your name is...” – he looked in the red book again – “Zachary Murray.”
“Does it say that in there?”
“That’s right. You’ll have to get used to it if you are thinking of coming to Cronos more often. You can give yourself a pseudonym of course, but when you interact with the other players, they can easily find out what your name is.”
“But how?” asked Zack, puzzled.
“You know what your name is and that’s enough.” Octavian pointed at his head.
“The game, in otherwords the CC can access your memory. Here.” Octavian turned his right wrist and conjured up a tennis ball out of nowhere. He threw it to Zack, who caught it quite skillfully.
“Can you feel the ball in your hands?”
