ALEKSANDAR BEČANOVIĆ Arceuil (novel excerpts)

Aleksandar Bečanović (born in Nikšić, Montenegro, 1971) haswrittenfivebooksof poetry, twocollectionsof short stories, and several books of film criticism, including a 900-page encyclopedia of film directors. In 2002 he received the Risto Ratković Award for the best book of poetry in Montenegro. He lives in the port city of Bar. Arcueil is his first novel.

JEAN TEULÉ Join the Dance (novel excerpt)

Jean Teulé (born in Saint-Lô, France, 1953) is a novelist, screenwriter, andcartoonist. His book, Lemagasin des suicides (2007) led to the creation of the film The Suicide Shop (2013). Le Montespan (2008) won the Grand Prix Palatine du roman historique and the prix Maison de la Presse 2008. He began his career as a cartoonist, working first on L’Écho des savanes in 1978. In addition to writing films, he has also appeared in various films including “Caché” (2005) and “Darling” (2007). His most recent work, Gare à Lou! , was published in 2019.
