CLAY COUNTY REGIONAL EVENTS CENTER Situated on the grounds of the Clay County Fair, the Regional Events Center is a multi-purpose events center constructed in 2003. This community events center is the ideal venue for all types of conventions, meetings, trade shows, corporate events, concerts and other events. The facility offers a 7,600

sq.ft. grand ballroom accomodating up to 500 people, which can also be divided into 6 smaller meeting rooms. Furthermore, the Arena/Exhibit Hall is 24,000 sq.ft. and has a seating capacity of nearly 2,500 people for concerts and other entertainment events. The main lobby area is 5,347 sq.ft. and features an attractive open atrium look. Also included in the facility are event offices, VIP dressing rooms, locker rooms, loading bay, a commercial kitchen and secondary concession stand. The operations of the Regional Events Center is handled by Clay County Fair employees, but is jointly funded and supported by the City of Spencer, Clay County

and the Fair Board. In the twelve years the Regional Events Center has been in Spencer, it has brought in many large national acts to entertain the residents of Spencer and surrounding areas. Examples of some of the larger shows are WWE wrestling, Mannheim Steamroller Christmas Concert, Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Kenny Rogers, The World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions, Family Fest, Annual Home Show, NW Iowa Bridal & Prom Extravaganza, Farm Implement shows, Oakridge Boys, Bill Cosby, Newsboys, PBR Rodeo, 38 Special, Miranda Lambert and many more fun and entertaining shows and events over the years.

SPENCER COMMUNITY THEATRE The Community Theatre is located at 518 1 st Avenue E. As stated in the Theatre’s vision statement, the SCT is a magical place where performers, patrons and volunteers are transformed by the creative experience. SCT encourages multi-generational and diverse participation in the artistic process. This theatre provides community enrichment and education by providing the public quality and entertaining live theatre experiences.
