The Alhambra School District is pleased to provide you with the 2016-2017 Alhambra Benefits’ Summary Booklet. The insurance plans offered represent a highly compeƟƟve benefit product with minimal changes to the medical plan designs offered last year. In addiƟon, we will conƟnue to encourage acƟve parƟcipaƟon in wellness programs and wise consumer health-care decisions, with the District Wellness CommiƩee working to encourage healthy approaches to life and work. Within the booklet, you will find more detailed informaƟon about the benefits available to you and your depen- dents. Our plans, once again, include a High DeducƟble Health Plan/Health Savings Account (HDHP/HSA) and two buy-up plans with a shared premium cost; however, there is an opportunity to reduce the employee premium contribuƟon by parƟcipaƟon in voluntary and confidenƟal biometric screenings. You will find the products offered again exceed the standards established through the Affordable Care Act. All plans again carry the Federal Govern- ment’s “gold” raƟng. Dependent coverage is available for those who need it. Alhambra staff will conƟnue to have access to highly compeƟƟve and comprehensive health care for themselves and their families. Altogether, it is our goal to ensure Alhambra employees are fairly compensated and supported for the work they do on behalf of our students and community.
