West Coast Conference Success

Over the past three seasons no West Coast Conference (WCC) team has been as successful as San Diego. The Toreros have won two of the last three WCC Championships, and enteri ng the 2005 season, USO owns the league's best overall record (106-74) since 2002. The Toreros were impressive a year ago against peren– nial baseball powers in the Big West Conference, defeating each of the top five teams in the BWC , including a 7-4 victory vs. eventual National Champion Cal State Fullerton. USO posted the best record in the WCC (35-21) last season, leading the league in batting average (.328), ERA (4.68), fielding % (.969) and on-base

% (.4 12). San Diego's .328 batting average also ranked 7th-best nationally.
