Blue Carbon - First Level Exploration of Blue Carbon in the Arabian Peninsula

The International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) lists the dugong as Vulnerable on a global scale. Dugongs in UAE waters are protected by Federal Law No. 23 (Article 28),

which prohibits the taking of dugongs in UAE waters. The Environmental Agency (EAD), Abu Dhabi, conducts summer and winter aerial dugong surveys of UAE waters.
