How Do We Authorize Our Church Plant Teams to Operate with Autonomy and Authority? World Impact

Each team must produce a Team Charter that will serve as the basis for the relationship between the Team Leader, its Multiple Team Leader, and the World Impact City Director or church authority.

A Team Charter consists of:

• A church planting Vision Statement . • An expressed commitment to act on this vision. • A commitment to evangelize and do pioneer missions among a lost population in an urban poor neighborhood. • A recognition of the mutual calling and gifting of all team members. • A clear definition of the target community or audience . • Clear goals and objectives offered as an expression of the team’s values and vision. • Dates committed in advance to review formally with the Multiple Team Leader the team’s progress in light of its Charter. For World Impact teams, the Charter is meant to give the Church Plant Team members, the Team Leader, and Multiple Team Leader a clear statement and record of what the Team hopes to accomplish, and by what date, under God’s direction!
