Team Evaluation Providing Formal Feedback for the Team as Coach (MTL) World Impact

As Multiple Team Leader, you will evaluate the team’s progress as it seeks to fulfill its Charter. These evaluations, which should occur formally at least once each quarter, should be done with the Team Leader together with the primary team members. Be aware that these reviews are intended to be open and edifying, and may vary greatly from team to team, depending upon their individual situations and dynamics. Once you complete your evaluations with the team, you should ask the team to give a written summary to the MTL, Director, and/or governing church authority. (Please note: your evaluation times should include dialogue, a written review, and provide sufficient time for good refreshment and prayer. Based on our experience, an entire day or more is preferable for these reviews, done in an environment away from the ministry itself. As MTL, you should develop your own form and structure for this time of evaluation.) Your evaluation should follow carefully the Team Leader’s responsibility listed above. During your team evaluation, make certain that you give careful and critical input and insight to each of the following important areas: • Is the team walking with the Lord, seeking God intently, and growing spiritually together? • Are the members relating to each other in love, forgiveness, and unity? Do any conflicts exist which need to be resolved? • Does the team remain called and committed to its vision, united together around it? Is the team working well together toward its purpose? • Does the team function as a gifted and serving body together, especially in their relationships with one another? Evaluate the team’s spiritual growth and community life. ( Are they living as a called community? )
