Bylaw 2 – Membership

1. Membership requirements. Those who desire to become members of this church shall meet the following requirements:

a. Have trusted in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior

b. Publicly express their commitment to Christ by baptism

c. Affirm and agree in the mission and doctrinal statement of faith of Anyname Fellowship

d. Discussed their desire to join AF with a member of its Pastoral Team, or appointed representatives of the Elders Council

e. Complete the membership orientation class and turn in application form to the Pastoral team

f. Confirmed by majority vote of the membership of AF

2. Membership responsibilities. The members of the church shall be willing to assume the responsibilities of membership. Among other things, they shall strive to:

a. Grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ (2 Pet. 3.18)

b. Worship and fellowship regularly with the other members of our church family (Ps. 150.1; Eph. 5.19-20)

c. Participate actively in our cell groups and home fellowships (Heb. 10.24-25; Acts 2.42-47)

d. Serve others faithfully by using their gifts in ministry (1 Pet. 4.10)

e. Support financially the church’s life and ministry together by giving of their time and resources generously (2 Cor. 9.6-15)

f. Strive to touch and influence their network of friends, relatives and associates to become Christ’s disciples (Matt. 28.19-20)
