Sample Partnership Agreement World Impact/CEEC Oaklawn Partnership Church Plant

I. The Goal of the Partnership The two entities, World Impact and the Southern District of Mennonite Brethren Churches, will partner together to plant an urban church in the Oaklawn community to the glory of God. II. The Partnership Model The partnership model most closely lines itself with the model presented by World Impact as “World Impact Leads and Organization Sends.” The basic thrust of this model is the following: • The ministry of World Impact will provide one Team Leader and three additional Primary Team Members. • The Southern District will provide an initial Primary Team Member and may add additional Primary Team Members throughout the duration of this church plant, in consultation with World Impact and the Team Leader. • As many Support Team Members as possible will be added from the churches of the Southern District in conjunction with the team’s overall church plant strategy. • World Impact will provide primary oversight, accountability and authority for the day to day operations of the entire church plant team. This oversight shall come from Fred Stoesz, World Impact’s Multiple Team Leader. In addition CEEC shall provide an active supportive role in this strategy. This relationship in partnership includes on-going cooperation and communication with periodic written and oral reports, ministry reviews and opportunities by both partners (WI and CEEC). • An outline of ministry assignments of all team members shall be available for clarity and understanding of the ministry programs and goals. III. Denominational Affiliation It is understood and agreed that this church plant is distinctively Mennonite Brethren from the beginning. Legal incorporation into membership as a congregation through chartering will be made at such a time as the church has clearly identified church leaders such as a pastor and/or elders. This will be done as a part of the normal process of establishing its by-laws and constitution according to the
