In his new position, Mr Kuzmin will be responsible for the company’s PR strategy and communications policy, as well as the coordination of external and internal communications and promotion of the company’s brand in strategic regions. Before joining Interpipe, Mr Kuzmin was head of communications and external relations at Eurocement group, and has also held executive positions at communications agency SPN Ogilvy Public Relations. He graduated from the Department of Lawat PetrozavodskStateUniversity and studied PR and advertising at Umeo State University (Sweden), and has further diplomas from the Central European University (USA) in political science and PR studies and from the Baltic University (Finland) in sustainable development. Socotherm awarded contracts worth €10m SocothermSpA, Italy, a leading company in the field of pipe coating for energy transportation, has been awarded new contracts for pipe anticorrosion, concrete weight coating and thermal insulation with a total value of around €10m. of around 128,000m 2 will allow storage of bare and coated pipes. A concrete weight coating plant completes the range of services offered.

Socotherm was also awarded the important DeepWater Project Olowi Field Development, which will be performed at the facilities of Adria (RO) in Q2 2008. The contract, valued at around €3m and awarded by Saipem, relates to the 5-layer polypropylene foam thermal insulation and concrete weight coating of 14km of 10" diameter pipes to be laid offshore at the Ivory Coast. The company has also been awarded other contracts relating to pipelines to be laid in the Adriatic Sea, for a total value of about €2m. Anticorrosion and concrete weight coating works will be performed at the Adria (RO) facilities. Socotherm offers all types of pipe coating, including external and internal anti-corrosion, concrete weighting and thermal insulation. The Baraka Project, awarded by Tenaris, relates to the 3-layer polyethylene and concrete weight coating of 54km of 12" pipes to be laid offshore from Barzak Platform to the Land Territory End of Tazerka, Tunisia, while the Maamoura Project relates to 3-layer polyethylene and polypropylene and concrete weight coating of 22km of 10" diameter and 2km of 12" diameter pipes connecting the LTE of Tazerka to the Maamoura Platform. The two jobs, for a total value of about €5m, will be carried out using the company’s new Marine Base, during Q2 and Q3 2008. The new Marine Base, located in Pozzallo (RG) port, an important oil and gas junction in Sicily, in the centre of the Mediterranean area, is planned to serve future projects in the region. It includes a covered area of approximately 12,000m 2 , where internal and external anticorrosion/thermal insulation (deep water) coating plants have been erected. The outside area
