f i t t ings feature on . . . Steel pipes and fittings from Turkey Bor ş en Boru, Turkey, is a distributor of steel pipes, valves and fittings, and a manufacturer of TIG welded stainless steel pipes. The company is the Turkish representative and single distributor of Ham-Let for valves and fittings, as well as of Alfa-Laval for sanitary flow equipment.

fitting the tubing ends (two spanners often need to be used on competitive valves to ensure that the inserts do not move). The 20K H-Series needle valve has a multi-turn action, which provides a fine flow control mechanism. Parker’s Tru-Loc mechanism is used to secure an integral gland adjuster. The valve’s metal seat allows operation over a wide temperature range from -54°C to +200°C (-65°F to +392°F). The new valves are available with the new Phastite connector. Compared with cone and thread ends, a valve fitted with Phastite connectors provides a number of benefits. It reduces assembly time, as a seal is made in seconds by simply pushing the Phastite collar along the tube using a hand-held hydraulic tool. As the collar moves, it forces profiles on the internal sleeve to bite, providing a high-pressure,leak-tightseal.Incontrast, cone and thread fittings require time- consuming precision thread cutting and coning operations to prepare the tube for assembly, as well as subsequent testing. However, conventional cone and thread style fittings are also available if required. Phastite tube ends also allow material cost and weight savings to be made, as the connections do not require more expensive tubing with extra thickness to accommodate the thread. Phastite is also resistant to vibration, and does not require an additional anti-vibration accessory like cone and thread fittings. Many applications for the new high- pressure valves can be found on the topsides of today’s offshore platforms. These include hydraulic systems for wellhead control, emergency shut down, chemical injection, pumping packages, gas booster systems, and test equipment.

Bor S S ş en Boru manufactures TIG welded stainless steel pipes

Since January 2006, the company has manufactured TIG welded stainless steel pipes in its own facilities, and uses manufacturing processes such as tricathode TIG welding, outside and inside bead removal, in-line bright annealing, straightening, surface finishing and tube-end deburring.

Bor ş en Boru’s test laboratory is an important part of its quality assurance process. company’s production line uses two eddy current systems. The first test system is used to detect defects of incomplete welding; the second is used to test whole pipe sections after the annealing process. The

Bor S S ş en is also a distributor of steel pipes, valves and fittings

The company is focused on continuous quality control and improvement. Some of the standard tests in its new non-destructive and destructive quality control test laboratory include chemical analysis by spectrometer, surface roughness test, hardness test, tensile test, shear strength test, flattening test, flaring test, reverse bending test and hydrostatic test.

Stainless steel tubes produced by Bor ş en have a producer test and analysis report according to EN 10204 / 3.1.
