AOAC Analytical Solutions Forum 

Palmer Orlandi will provide an outline for the Analytical Solutions Forum and the expectations.     

The Analytical Solutions Forum (ASF)  The Analytical Solutions Forum is a newly instituted concept designed to expand upon AOAC’s current  stakeholder panel model. The forum is envisioned to provide a multi‐faceted approach to serving and  advancing the needs of the analytical, food, feed and agricultural safety communities. It will include:   Bi‐annual stakeholder forum meeting. Science‐based, open meetings where global stakeholders  from government, industry and academia can convene to identify issues and articulate  standards and methods needed for eliminating trade barriers; substantiating health claims; and  meeting and/or establishing regulatory requirements. This will also be a venue to focus on  regulatory and emerging issues, and presentations and updates from funded tracks;   A mechanism for horizon scanning for identifying needs before they become public health  emergencies and for the proactive development of new scientific programs to meet these  challenges; and, 

 An advisory committee as an overarching umbrella organization tasked with integrating,  prioritizing and providing oversight to prospective and ongoing programs.
