Mention Brazil and a host of images spring to mind. Without doubt its phenomenal success on the football eld, Rio carnival, the FIFA World Cup next year, the Olympic Games in 2016. More recently it has been the country’s strength as a nancial force to be reckoned with in terms of its economy, with a massive explosion in industrial and agricultural growth seeing it become South America’s leading nancial power and regional leader. The opportunities a orded international trade investors make this an incredibly attractive market for business. Admittedly, a long and thorough administrative process has caused a few headaches along the way, but the rewards seemingly far outweigh the problems in getting a foothold in the country. It is little wonder then that the wire and cable industry turns its attention to the city of São Paulo for the rst staging of wire South America in October. Tube exhibition TUBOTECH has been successfully staged in the country for the last 14 years. Grupo Cipa staged a wire exhibition in conjunction with the 6 th TUBOTECH two years ago and has now joined forces with Messe Düsseldorf in a bid to ensure this show joins the stable of already successful wire events around the globe. Expectation for the rst wire South America is, quite rightly, very high.
