REQUIRED DUCT TESTING

Update and New Class

production housing or apartments. If the project has 200 or fewer units with the same floor plan, then only 20% of those units must be tested. If the project has over 200 units with the same floor plan, then only 10% of those units must be tested. There is one other criteria that developers and HVACR contractors must remember. If the project uses the same HVACR contractor for all of the units, then the 20% and 10% rule applies; however, if the projects uses more than one HVACR contractor, the 20% rule applies even if there are over 200 units. In other words, multiple HVACR contractors automatically establish the number of units tested at 20%. To accommodate those that did not attend one of the first four classes, another class is scheduled for January 9, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the PTC Business & Industry Center at 3303 E. Roosevelt Road, Little Rock. You can register by contacting the Association office at 501-487-8655 or email tomhunt@arhvacr.org
