Accessorise Your Switch A year on and there is now quite a decent number of third-party peripherals for your handy portable Nintendo console (not to mention the cardboard Labo out next month). We take a small selection for a test drive. Words Alesha Kolbe

Hybrid Cover The Hybrid Cover comes with a screen protector and a screen cleaner, and is a perfect replacement for the sub-par kickstand that is built into the Switch console itself. Its snug fit is perfect for use in tabletop mode, and it has all the necessary holes for cables and game card slots. It closes magnetically, and the slot for the actual console is closed with Velcro, meaning you get a snug fit every time.

Wired Controller Plus - Zelda and Mario There are two options for custom wired controllers

– one Zelda-themed and one Mario. Both have lengthy 10-foot cables, and six total interchangeable thumbsticks with different heights. The controllers are lightweight and the designs on both are smooth to touch, with the bumpers in an easier to reach place than the Joy-Cons. The Mario design is red with a silver D-pad and lettering, whereas the Zelda design has a decal of Link and gold lettering. Both are an obvious improvement upon your standard pro controller, and a great addition to your collection.

Switch Carry Case The Switch carry case is similar to what you probably would’ve used with your DS at some point. A nice little zip pouch with game pockets for your cartridges. The case is sturdy and zips closed, so you needn’t worry about losing anything. It even features a fabric divider that will protect your screen while the Switch isn’t in use.

Everywhere Messenger Bag The Everywhere Messenger Bag is essentially a satchel that has room for all your Switch stuff, as well as anything else you want to bring with you. It comes with a pouch for your console, as well as spots for the dock, Joy-Cons, and

AC adapter, and has a nice, comfortable padded strap carry it like a laptop bag. It’s got a secondary pocket in the back that’s got enough room for a notebook or

Game Traveller Deluxe System Case If you’re after a bigger case for your Switch, the Traveller Deluxe System Case is on the

similar, and as far as gaming accessories go, is definitely not ugly. It’s your most comprehensive

bulkier side, and will let you transport all your Switch accessories in one go. It’s designed to carry everything, with spots for the dock and the AC adapter, a wired controller, and even a separate pouch for your Joy-Cons. It’s a very sturdy case, and with a place for everything, there’s no risk of anything sliding around inside. Of course, there are also two single-cartridge cases and two four-cartridge cases included.
