ELGATO Green Screen

Content creators rejoice – this is the simplest green screen solution you'll find in JB Hi-Fi.

I f you're a content creator that plays or streams games, whether for a living or just for fun, and you enjoy having a face cam in the picture, sometimes the hardest part can be employing a green screen. A green screen allows you to block out the background of your environment, focusing only on whatever is in the forefront of the screen. The biggest issue many YouTubers and streamers face when utilising this method is where to set up the screen. It sounds easy enough to dedicate an entire room and just have a permanent green back wall, but for sharehouses or other situations, this simply isn't possible.

Elgato, the leaders and pioneers of content creation peripherals that they are, have come up with a solution. They've developed a genius green screen that simply collapses away into a tube when not in use, and can be shoved under a bed or hidden away behind a vacuum cleaner in a cupboard somewhere. The screen measures 148cm x 180cm when opened, and easily collapses into a 148 x 10cm x 11cm when not in use. It's a bit heavy, but the setup process is simple, and you get a wrinkle-free, portable green screen, which is an undeniable win in our books.

Corsair HS50 Stereo Gaming Headset

Corsair are no stranger to the headset market, and their latest foray – the HS50 – is testimony to that.

T he HS50 Stereo Gaming Headset is a wired headset that features adjustable plush ear cups and is made of sturdy aluminium. You can expect the usual impeccable build and sound quality synonymous with Corsair peripherals; there’ll be no need to replace this one anytime soon, and you’ll barely even notice you’re wearing it. Corsair’s HS50 features premium 50mm drivers (on the larger side for those worried about the smaller cup size of some headsets) and includes a detachable, unidirectional microphone that you can get out of the way if you aren’t looking to chat to anyone. You’ll also be able to make use of on-ear

volume and mute controls for easy access to whatever you’re listening to. This headset is wired, so you’ll need a 3.5mm jack, and this also means you’ll be able to use it with almost any gaming console, PC, or your mobile. More good news is the HS50 is available in a number of colours; carbon black, green, or blue. Corsair’s new headset looks the part, and sounds even better. It’s one of the best bangs for your buck you can get.
