Ball Bearing double-end mandrel features two high-quality precision grade die-cast ball bearing pillow blocks. Will run wheels up to 1" thick. Use with flap wheels, wire brushes, buffing and grinding wheels having a 1/2" arbor hole. Our keyless chuck can be mounted on the right hand end to allow use of various accessories such as sanding drums, mounted points, etc. Pulley diameter 2", shaft diameter is 5/8" threaded 1/2"- 20 Right and left hand, 12" overall. Our newly redesigned and improved Jantz Hollow Grinding Fixture allows you to grind straight or recurved blades quickly and accurately with your 2” wide belt grinder (some adjustments may be necessary to fit your machinery). To use simply replace your work rest with the angle bracket, set your initial grinding increment and move your blade through the fixed part by hand. • Adjustable to any thickness blade stock from .090" to .290" and can grind blades of any length. • Flat grind using your platen • Hollow grind with a 6”, 8”, 10”, 12”, or 14” contact wheel. • Change belts without removing or adjusting the fixture with our innovative new design • Adjust grinding depths in increments of .050” with a full turn of knob • Stationary back jaw • Knife edge guard constructed from tool steel for strength and designed for easy replacement when natural wearing occurs with use Optional elevator attachment (sold separately) raises or lowers the grinding center line for greater versatility. Back idler is used when making your own belt grinder. The assembly has spring tension for easy removal of belts and a tracking adjustment for proper belt alignment. Idler wheel is 3" wide x 3 1/2" diameter and crowned for positive tracking. Wheel comes with bearings and has 5/8" shaft. Unit is made of cast aluminum.
