P&R Herefords is proud to be a part of the historic Chain Ranch’s Red Dirt Roundup Sale this year. The Red Angus/Hereford baldy cow is America’s No. 1 commercial cow for all the right reasons. P&R Herefords’ breeding program is designed to raise “range cattle efficiency” Herefords that are low maintenance out on the range, with plenty of performance when you put them on feed. We are offering all of our wholly owned, four-year-old, registered cows; a select set of bred heif- ers and mature cows; and all of our mature, polled, Hereford cows. These cows came right off the range in their working clothes just a few weeks ago. Most of our cows and all of our herd sires have DNA profiles on file with the American Hereford Association so all calves can be parent verified. This offering would give someone a good opportunity to start their own registered Hereford herd.
