This past month, Mandy and I attended the Cloud 9 dispersal. There were numerous calves sired by E381 and we were very impressed with his calf crop at Cloud 9. We ended up purchasing numerous ET females out of their donor cows and E381. This young herd sire quickly caught our attention. His phenotype is outstanding, but his pedigree got me really excited. This calf has two dams in his pedigree that need no introduction. DAMAR Mimi W085 and BROWN Ms Abigrace L7730. These two females are most likely the two highest-income-generating females in the Red Angus breed, with a combined estimated total of more than $5 million. With Redemption, Conquest and Fusion in the pedigree on the sire side, this bull stands a pretty good chance of working in the pasture and on the rail. He is a unique genetic combination that offers real-world function with an elite seedstock presence. This calf has 8 EPD traits in the Top 30% of the breed. He has calving ease deluxe with outstanding carcass ability, and his sire is the 2019 NWSS Champion Red Angus Bull to boot. We think this calf will have an impact on our program and we are planning on using him on our registered heifers in the spring. We are offering a 50-unit semen package and 5% ownership on this promising young herd sire.
