7. The hard-driving rock band Guns 'N' Roses tended to get rowdy at their con– certs. In St. Louis, 40 concert goers and 25 police officer were in– jured. Axel Rose was arrested in July, and charged withfourmis– demeanor assault counts.

Barcelona, Spain, hosted the Summer Olympics in 1992and it proved to be a bonanza for the United States-- a total of 108 medals. A record 10,000 athletes, professional and amateurs, from 183 countries gathered in this rapidly modernized me– tropolis nestled between the mountains and the Mediterra– nean Sea.
