American Humanics Association Members of American Humanics Association are inter– ested in leadership careers in human service organiza– tions. The club meet bi-monthly during lunch. Club activities include guest speakers, field trips, a spring retreat, and an annual four-day management conference in January. The club is open to all USDstudents, regardless of their major.
Rotaract Rotaract, a community service club that provides its members with professional de– velopment and various social activities, takes pride in the aid it distributes to the members of surrounding communities. Their motto, "Practice random acts of kindness and sense– le s acts of duty," has resulted in projects such as the construction of a school in the Tijuana dumps, beach clean-ups, and involvement with the group "Responsibility," which net– works Christmas gifts to tho e living in the Tijuana dumps. Yet, in addition to the gratifi– cation the members receive from helping oth– ers, they are also afforded opportunitie to listen to career guidance speakers, chances to attend social activities sponsored by Rotaract, and the option of participating in valuable outings such as "Shadow a Professional Day." Basically, Rotaract has proven to be the ideal club for those students who wish to lend a hand to the needy whi.lemaking a career choice.
