International Students Organization
club on campus. ISO provides an op– portunity for international students as well as American students to interact in a friendly and social atmosphere by sponsoring many events. These events include: a bi-monthly Coffee Hour, an annual international dinner, and an annual Spring Fashion Show, as well as many picnics, parties, trips, and ca– reer services. ISO also engages in
many inter-campus activities, in addi– tion to its intracampus ones. For the first time, ISO introduced a new tradition last fall by hosting an International Week. The International Week was comprised of a mini world exposition and a beach barbeque in Coronado. The entire event was capped off by a semi-formal international buffet dinner and dance.
The International Students Orga– nization (ISO) has over 300 student members representing over 25 coun– tries around the world. ISO provides aid to foreign students. It also pro– vides different perspectives on world issues. ISO organizes a variety of events catering primarily to the international community. It is the largest and most culturally diverse
World Networking Society
World Networking Society is a new club on campus. It networks current, exchange, and postgraduatestudentsof the international commu– nity at USD in order to facilitate the exchange of professional, academic, cultural, and social informa– tion. WNS also helps facilitate the placement of members in the job markets world-wide, provide international consultation for business and leisure, and promote academic programs at USD. WNS promotes USD overseas to potential students and employers. WNS will distribute an annual directory to members and to potential employers around the world.
