MEET YOUR NEW SECTION III REPRESENTATIVE
FBINAA.ORG | Q3 2025
As your Section III Representative, my objectives are rooted in the shared values and vision of the FBINAA: ENGAGEMENT & CROSS-CHAPTER KNOWLEDGE SHARING Out of more than 55,000 FBI National Academy graduates, only about 14,000 remain active members. I want to work toward increasing participation by strengthening our local chapters and ensuring members feel connected and engaged. A key part of this effort is enhancing cross-chapter knowledge sharing. Some of the most innovative ideas and programs in our profession come directly from our chapters—whether it’s creative fundraisers, im pactful training, or unique networking opportunities. By capturing these best practices and sharing them across the Association, we can help every chapter benefit from the successes of others. RECRUITMENT & RETENTION Strong, ethical, and diverse recruitment is critical to the fu ture of law enforcement, and retaining talented officers is equally essential. We must cultivate a culture that values professional ism, supports development, and prioritizes officer well-being. I would like to build upon our existing training programs to include initiatives specifically focused on these vital areas of recruitment, Law enforcement is one of the most demanding professions, and our officers face significant stress and trauma in the line of duty. Championing officer wellness and resilience is not optional, it is fundamental to the safety of our officers and the communities they serve. I am committed to keeping wellness and resiliency at the forefront of our Association’s priorities, ensuring that our members and agencies have the resources and support needed to serve with strength, integrity, and longevity. I recognize that representing Section III on the National Board is a serious responsibility. My promise to you is simple: I will listen, I will advocate, and I will work tirelessly to ensure our collective voice is heard. Together, we can strengthen our network and advance the mission of the FBINAA: the continuous development of the world’s strongest law enforcement leadership network. Thank you again for this opportunity. I look forward to serving you and working alongside you in the years ahead. retention, and leadership development. OFFICER WELLNESS & RESILIENCE

Over the past two decades, I have served as a police officer, detective, investigator, supervisor, and now chief, as well as a criminal justice instructor. I have been fortunate to serve on multiple professional boards, including the North Carolina Associa tion of Chiefs of Police, the North Carolina Homicide Investigators’ Association, and the FBINAA North Carolina Chapter. Each of these roles has strengthened my belief in the power of collaboration, pro fessionalism, and service.
