Students will explore the different components of ‘geography’. Lessons will focus on geographical inquiries and will be provided with a context for the development of the 7 essential concepts; place, space, environment, interconnection, sustainability, scale and change. Students, through explicit teaching will be immersed in the use and development of geographical skills required to conduct investigations. Through the focus Place and Liveability , students will examine factors that influence liveability and how it is perceived and what services and facilities are needed to support and enhance our lives. Use timelines to depict the Palaeolithic/Neolithic time periods and the important features of these time periods  Jigsaw activity to demonstrate understanding of the developments Humans have and to understand the broad patterns of historical change.  Students will be able to identify reasons for change and continuity over time.  Looking at evidence, DNA and the work of Archaeologists using the ancient civilisation of Sumer.  Investigate the significant beliefs of ancient civilisations  The role of significant individuals and their impact  The legacies of Ancient civilisations  Map of human migration and identify the ‘Push/Pull Factors’  Venn diagram to compare/contrast early humans 
