Two-person Show Gantered Clay , Companion Gallery, Austin http:// www.companionaustin.com/new-events/2016/4/1/ gathered-clay-work-from-angel-oloshove-and-leah-dyjak Group Show In the Wake , Houston Center of Photography, Houston https://www.hcponline.org/exhibits/ exhibitions/view/106/in-the-wake Teri Evans-Palmer , Sherry Snowden , and Shaunna Smith, Assistant Professor of Educational Technology, received College of Education funding to implement a Makers Ed Camp (Makerspaces) for art educators this summer. Makerspaces offer informal STEM learning and are the natural evolution of the contemporary art classroom. Teri Evans-Palmer presented research at the National Art Education Association in Chicago entitled, “Leaders with Heart: Developing the Affective Capacities of Teachers.”

Sterling Allen opens Shadowy & Still , a solo exhibition at Sala Diaz in San Antonio on Saturday, April 30. The exhibition is on view through June 4, 2016. Info at http://www.saladiazart.org Erin Cunningham , Matt Rebholz and eight other artists are featured in Part 1 of ICOSA’s Part 1 & Part 2 : an inaugural exhibition highlighting the works of the 20-member gallery collective. The first part of this two-part series begins with an opening reception April 29 from 7-11pm. The show runs through May 22, with gallery hours on Saturdays and Sundays from 12- 4pm and by appointment. Additional information can be found at http://icosacollective.com/home.html.
