Modern Foreign Languages – German and French
Overview Our objective is to enable students of all abilities to develop their French or German language skills to their full potential, equipping them with the knowledge to communicate in a variety of contexts with confidence. Learning a language can bring many benefits. We strongly believe in languages as a skill for life and something students should enjoy and find rewarding. The specification expands students' cultural knowledge whilst developing their language skills .
Students study all of the following themes over Key Stage 4 on which the assessments are based.
Theme 1: Identity and culture Theme 2: Local, national, international and global areas of interest Theme 3: Current and future study and employment
