That’s why Bullard chooses Dupont™ Tychem® Hoods for our Powered Air-Purifying and Supplied Air Respirator systems. Two Preferred Hood Styles The DuPont™ Tychem® QC hood style is a lightweight, durable fabric that utilizes the strength of DuPont™ Tyvek® fabric with a polyethylene coating for added chemical protection. The Tychem® QC fabric provides workers with protection against more than 40 chemical challenges. This hood is the perfect choice for light splash protection in a variety of industrial environments, including petroleum refining, pulp and paper manufacturing, food processing, chemical processing, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. The DuPont™ Tychem® SL hood delivers superior protection against a range of chemical environments and hazards. This hood utilizes Saranex® 23-P film laminated to Tyvek® fabric to provide a rugged and durable hood that resists many chemicals. The Tychem® SL fabric provides protection against more than 120 chemical challenges. This hood style is preferred by users who work in waste management, hazardous remediation, paint spraying, and nuclear environments. The DuPont™ Tychem® QC and Tychem® SL Hoods provide a wide variety of simple, effective and economical options for workers needing respiratory protection in industrial environments. Dupont hoods are NIOSH approved for use in Bullard’s Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (EVA/EVAHL Series) and Supplied Air Respirator (CC20 Series) systems.
