FALLOUT 4

Everything was all dandy and swell in Boston – until 23 October 2077, when somebody went and pressed the button. Yes, THAT button. A war over precious resources led to this nuclear holocaust, and your story begins on that very day. You take shelter in Vault 111, emerging 200 years later to a world that’s a shadow of its former self. The ‘you’ in question can be male or female, but either way it’s good to know that you’ll have a trusty companion on your travels, be it indestructible

German shepherd Dogmeat, robotic pal Mr Handy, or any of a selection of newcomers. It’s down to you to rebuild and determine the fate of the Wasteland, but it won’t be a walk in the park. You are SPECIAL though, with your set of attributes – ‘Strength’, ‘Perception’, ‘Endurance’, ‘Charisma’, ‘Intelligence’, ‘Agility’ and ‘Luck’ – combining to determine how you survive... or don’t! While the core action/RPG gameplay remains, and you’ll be doing a fair bit of fighting

(complete with funky new cinematic mode), your ability to craft stuff will certainly come into play. Thousands of items can be constructed, ranging from weapons and food up to entire settlements. Of course this is all wrapped up in a stunning now-gen graphics package. Nuclear destruction has never looked this peachy! If you liked this, you may also like.. . GENRE: FPS PLATFORM: PS4 | PS3 | XB1 | 360 | PC RELEASE: 06/11/15 MULTIPLAYER: YES

Hoon heaven Need for Speed celebrates its 21st outing by popping the clutch, jamming into first gear and giving the accelerator some boot – or, more precisely, some reboot. With much of the team that gave us the seminal Burnout games at the wheel, this all-new open world racer – bulging with real world shiny machines – leaves how you want to drive up to you. It boasts five ways to play – ‘Outlaw’, ‘Style’, ‘Build’, ‘Crew’ and ‘Speed’. Go bad to the bone ‘Outlaw’ and you’ll mess with cops – and their heads. In it for ‘Style’? You can really get your Ken Block on. ‘Build’ is for the modders, ‘Crew’ for precision drivers and ‘Speed’, well we reckon you can guess that one...

The Simpsons character and all round genius bloke Stephen Hawking recently stated, “The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race.” This vision of 2065, where humans are literally becoming weapons thanks to advances in everything from AI to bionics and DNA upgrades, backs him up. It’s 40 years on from Blops II , and the face of warfare has radically changed due to such tech advancements. Campaign-wise, you’re on a team (playable as four-person co-op) of supersoldiers trying to thwart a robotic takeover. Multiplayer introduces a thruster system and mucho customisation, while zombies also return complete with a new secret ingredient – Mr Jeff Goldblum!
