by putting the setoffs on closed solid panels and thus creating a covered arcade. In fact, the covered arcade has also contributed to the success of the project: in narrow streets of Moscow these arcades always have dark shades of misty and unpleasant passage. In this case, however, much due to the fact that the building stands opposite the park and not the high-rise apartment, it has plenty of light increased by full glazing of the ground floor. The perspective in the window reflection adds depth to the whole building creating a certain fairy-tale effect. Though the structure of the complex was changed, Plotkin remained faithful to his style. Though opposed to each other, the two bulks of the building still look one whole, in particular due to their difference. Well, if they continued one another, that would be quite a different story – a fantastic one. Here the re- sulting drama embodied in the building is tru- ly existential. A drama of life.
