Two books we recommend for the Upper Skeena reader who wishes to learn: "Potlatch at Gitse- gukla" -details from William Beynon's 1945 Field Note- books (Vol. 1-4) and " Mapping My Way Home" by Neil John Sterritt, 2016. The first book begins with a submission by Joan Ryan, Hannamauxw, detailing what goes on in a feast hall. It also includes an article on key events in the Gitxsan encounter with the coloni- al world. The second book, has won two major literary awards. It contains a number of maps, stories, family trees and has an excellent section on the land question ending with the legacy of Delgamuukw. Both of these books are important reads for anyone living in the Up- per Skeena and they are available in the library! Youth Works frozen meat lasagnas are back! $25 family sized healthy dinner.
