National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution - Any woman is eligible for membership who is no less than 18 years of age and can prove lineal, bloodline/descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence. - Membership is through invitation by a Chapter or by a member-at-large. - Contact Shirley Case - sacase@centurytel.net Pets-A-Lone Sanctuary (PALS) - Organized March 1989 as a non-profit animal rescue agency, PALS is a 501c3 charity license by the State of Missouri. PALS does not receive any funding from city, county, State or Federal programs. Essen- tially a no-kill shelter. All animals entering the shelter are taken to the vet and treated for any illness/injury and receive all re- quired vaccinations. Missouri Veterans History Project (MVHP) - Honors American war veterans by preserving the stories of their service to our country. - Oral history interviews, memoirs, wartime diaries, offical military documents, photographs, maps and more are collected for the Library of Congress, Missouri State Historical Society and Troy Powell Library. - To participate in providing first-person accounts of military service during the time frame of WWII to conflicts in Iran and Afghanistan, contact coordinator Thom Artru at 636-528-1838.
