Bishop Buddy, a Novena in honor of Our Lady of Guada- lupe, was closed in the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe h ere, last Sunday at 7 p. m. Deacons of honor t o His Excel- lency were the Very Rev. William Kelly, O .S .A., and the Rev. Thomas J . McNamara. The Masters of Ceremonies were the Rev. Francis C. Ott and the Rev. M. J . O'Connor. P1•esent, also, were the Very Rev. F. A. Wekenman, Rev. Da- l mian Gobeo, A .R., pastor; Rev. Vito Pilolla and Rev. John Pur- cell. The impressive procession, in which 2,500 participated, was fea- tured by the recitation of the Ros- ary by the people under the direc- tion of Father Gobea and by the priests under the direction of I Father Wekenman. After each 1 mystery, hymns in honor of the Blessed Sacrament and the Bless- ed Virgin Mary were sung by the Mexican Societies and children of the parish. The Rev. Ramon Guerras, C.M. F., of the Church of Our Lady of the Angels, Plaza, Los Angeles, 1 preached the sermon.
