During the month of July came +he dEdication of St. Dominic's Church in Mesa Grinde, Church of the Assumption in Barona In- dian Reservation and the Church of St. Michael, the Archangel at Inaja, Julian. ' The Church cf the Blessed Sac- rament was dedicatt'd at Desca.n- so, August 24, to be fellowed De- c-ember 5 by the formal dedica- tion of Marv, Star of the Sea Church, La Jolla. SEVERAL NEW CHURCHES ESTABLISHED Several new parishes have been established during the year and contemplated is the formation of others in districts far l'emoved from existent churches. Those erected include the parish of the B 1es s e d Sacrament, Descanso, where Mass formerly was cele- brated only on rare occasions. The Rev. Michael J. O'Connor, Bish- op's Secretary, was given charge. To St. Rita's Church, Encanto, formerly the Mission of St. Ann's parish, was assigned as Pastor, the Rev. Daniel O'Donoghue, with charge, also, of the Mission at Lemon Grove. The Rev. Mich8'1 J. O'Connor was appointed Paster of the new parish of Calipatria in Imperial Deanery, and given charge also of the Mission at Westmoreland. The Rev.
