BONAL FRANCE Bonal Gentiane Quina Aperitif Wine #30105139 / 750ml

Made close to the French alps in St. Laurent du Pont, this is a fortified wine infused with gentian, cinchona and other herbs to a recipe created in 1865. Bittersweet with green grapes, prune, figs, plump sultana, liquorice and citrus with gentian and quinine bitterness. COCCHI TORINO, ITALY Cocchi Vermouth di Torino #30105128 / 750ml

Produced in historic Asti, this Moscato-based vermouth is a true Vermouth di Torino - one of the only two protected geographical AOCs for vermouth. Made to a family recipe created over 100 years ago, Cocchi’s rich, intense, well- rounded flavor sets it apart from the competition. With enticing notes of red fruits and orange, this is a versatile vermouth that is delicious served on its own with ice, but also makes a great base for a range of cocktails, including a Manhattan, Martinez or Negroni. “Bottles You’ll Want to Try” Esquire 5 Stars Difford’s Guide 3.15 Cocchi Dopo Teatro #30189741 / 500ml This ‘Vermouth Amaro’ has been created according to the original recipe by Giulio Cocchi where Artemisia was enriched with rhubarb, quassia wood, chiretta and a double infusion of cinchona. The addition of Barolo Chinato to the base wine gives delicately red nuances and a further soft and complex note – totally Cocchi style. Cocchi Americano Aperitif Wine #30105123 / 750ml Americano Bianca starts with white wine from Italy’s Piedmont region, fortified then aromatized using botanicals including cinchona, gentian and citrus. The full recipe is, of course, secret. Cocchi Americano is crisp and citrusy with a delicate bitter edge and gives many of the classics new life. A staple in lots of cool cocktails with snazzy names it is excellent as a simple aperitif or poured over ice with a splash of club soda and a slice of orange. 5 Stars Difford’s Guide Cocchi Americano Rosa #30105124 / 750ml Americano Rosa has the lush mouthfeel and weight of a sweet vermouth, the fruit of a sangria, and the spice of a mulled wine, finishing with a tingle of bitterness on the tongue. It’s absolutely delicious. 4.5 Stars Difford’s Guide Cocchi Barolo Chinato DOCG #30105125 / 1L Born in Piedmont Italy last century and absolutely packed with flavor, Barolo Chinato uses old Barolo infused with herbs and spices including quinine bark, rhubarb and cardamom before being aged to intensify the flavor. Pairs exceptionally well with dark chocolate; also may be used to enhance cocktails in place of vermouth. Very rich, but still clean and refreshing, this simply must be tried.

BYRRH FRANCE Byrrh Grand Quinquina Aperitif Wine #30125499 / 750ml

Fortified wine, produced since 1873 in the small French town of Thuir. Byrrh is created by macerating South America Quinquina, coffee, bitter orange, colombo and cocoa in Muscat Mistelles, then matured in oak casks. The fruit-forward wine lends natural sweetness, so no additional sugar is needed, and also provides Byrrh with its refreshing balance of fruit and spice. Byrrh is a bit softer than vermouth with heavy wine flavors and just a mild quinine flavor to add bitterness. CAPERITIF SOUTH AFRICA Caperitif Kaapse Dief Aperitif #30188382 / 750ml

For decades this unique Cape Aperitif inspired barmen all over the globe and it made its way intomany cocktail recipes and famous cocktail books. And then, around 1910, the company that made it disappeared, and so did the recipe. Fast forward 100 years to when a Danish mixologist met a Swartland winemaker and the ghost ingredient became a possibility and then a reality. Chenin Blanc fortified with spirit, gently sweetened by the sugar of the grapes, bittered by Quinchona bark and flavoured with some 35 truly Cape ingredients such as fynbos, kalmoes and naartjies. CAPPELLETTI TRENTINO ALTO ADIGE, ITALY Cappelletti Vino Aperitivo #30105129 / 750ml A much-anticipated addition, Cappelletti Aperitvo is an artisanal wine-based aperitif made by the same family for over four generations in the Alto-Adige region of Italy. Made from mostly Trebbiano, the nose is round and full, captivating with just a hint of bitterness and herbs. Texture on the palate is generous, providing a slight bitterness from notes of citrus peel. A wonderful mixer—Pair with Dolin Rouge for a beautiful negroni or Americano.
