Year 7 Camp The Year 7 camp is an awesome experience to engage with the young kids and get to know them. For them, seniors are people who they want to know and look up to immensely. It is a fantastic day where you are all involved in doing activities with them for the day and sharing laughs at their different crazy personalities is very rewarding as you see them warm to you and this relationship is one that continues throughout the year as you do activities with them in school. They will look to you for guidance and approval and it is a humbling experience to see how highly regarded you are by them. House Chapel Chapels take organisation to run smoothly and to actually have the desired impact on the House. You will need to write a speech focusing on an aspect of the chosen theme and as one of the more formal house events of the year, it is important that students are respectful and act in a well-presented manner. This is a big event and your Head of House should feel supported in their task of putting together a well-run and impactful Chapel. House Play Festival House Plays is such a fun part of the school year and whether you are directly involved in the production or not, the cast and directors should feel as if you are on the journey with them. It is an intense and busy process of preparing for the performance night and they should feel both supported and encouraged by you to do the best for the house. Urge as many students as you can to audition and give it a go, and make an effort to attend some of the rehearsals to see how the play is progressing. Checking in to give advice and getting to know the cast members shows that you are invested in the process and support them in their performance. Inter-House Carnivals Sports carnivals can be a stressful time so being organised and ready to complete any task can help the day to run smoother. Make sure that you have gone through and checked each age group and that the people written down for an event or race are going to be there. Having a theme can help to make people more involved in the day. And make sure to help each other and your Head of House.
